I'm Shak.
I'm a mixing engineer, and throughout my career I've been trusted by award-winning clients and collaborators, as well as independent artists blazing their own trails!
Supporting artists, veterans and youngsters alike, through bringing their passion to life is MY life's mission.
I love bringing music to life regardless of the fame that surrounds it.
This sample pack is derived from this fun IG series I've been running, called "What-If Mix";where I take a classic song, separate the stems (using AI), and re-mix the stems as if they were mixed today. Where those songs were originally mixed completely analog, with the sonic esthetic of the time, I mix them completely in-the-box with the sonic esthetic of today. At the end of a mix, I compare my mix with the original and reflect.
In the process, I realized I'm sitting on a bunch of really cool and iconic drum samples.
In the pack you'll find both the unprocessed samples, as well as how I chose to process them in my "modern way".

How I Work
Every song I mix gets the full VIP treatment!
There's no- 'this much money gets you this, and that much gets you that...'
I treat every song as if it were my own, with all of the bells and whistles, and the complete set of deliverables.
What are the deliverables, you ask?
When I finish a mix and it's approved by you and your team, I deliver the following to mastering:
- Full mix
- instrumental mix
- a cappella mix
- tv mix (lead vocal muted)
Once we're done with mastering,
I deliver a full set of mixed stems to you!
